I bought my guines pig at pet smart but when I got home I noticed her ear a little flaky but now it has gotten worse in just 3 days as you see in the picture.... I don’t know if it’s fungal or ear mites, I’m worried because it’s a little bloody so that means it’s bothering her.... any suggestions to what it is and how to treat it?

Hey,
You need to return to your piggy and get a vet to check and diagnose the problem, it could be fungal and the blood will likely be from scratching. You need the correct diagnoses to treat your piggy. If fungal then all precautions must be taken. Is your piggy alone or have a friend?

She’s alone, we got her 3 days ago and was planning on getting her a friend this week but if it’s fungal it may pass on to the other one so I might have to hold off on that

As @Mother Hubbard said, you need to get your piggy to the vet to you can get a proper diagnosis before you start treating.

In case it is fungal, with taking a look at this guide in the meantime and following appropriate precautions: Ringworm: Hygiene And Pictures

I would also complain to the shop where you bought her. They should cover any vet fees required in dealing with this although they might want to send you to a specific vet they have an agreement with (so worth calling first).

I think you're right to hold of on getting her a buddy until this is as sorted, and I also wouldn't get them from the same shop!

Keep us updated 😊

Thank you for your reply! I called them today and the guy said their vet is closed to he told me for a couple of days to wipe it with a warm towel and use neosporin on her wounds to keep her from scratching and if in a couple of days it’s not good then to take her in there

I would look for another vet and ask for a refund rather than waiting a few more days. That needs to be looked at rather than their just giving advise over the phone.
