New Born Pup
Hi everyone,
I adopted a guinea pig named Ruby 2 years ago and she has a permanent head tilt from a previous ear infection. Fast forward to today and she goes to the vet about once every four months for an infection on the same side. She is such a fighter!
Yesterday, the vet informed us that the ear drum had now ruptured and to prevent infections and build up, we could try putting a few drops of saline ( no preservatives) into the ear and gently massaging it it. My fiance took her and forgot to ask how often to do this because it is a ruptured ear drum and not just regular maintenance. Out vet is closed for 4 days so I thought I would ask here!
Has anyone dealt with something similiar? And if so,
The product we bought is Salinex and the only ingredient is seawater. Is this okay?
How often should we do it?
Thank you all in advance!
Sarah
