guinea pig doing clumpy poos, not eating

hiya, my male guinea pig is 3 this year and i’ve been noticing he has not been pooing very much but every night there is just one or two big mushy lumps of poo, he’s also lost his appetite and not eating any hay etc. he also seems very quiet in himself. is there anything i can do to help him or does anyone have any idea of what this could be? thanks in advance

I'm sorry that your piggy is not well. How long has he been sick? It sounds like he needs to see a vet as soon as possible. Has he lost weight? You'll need to switch from the lifelong weekly weigh-ins to daily weight checks. Please step in with support feeding. I've attached some guides here:

Please have him seen by a vet as soon as you can if he is in pain and if he is not eating properly and has poor and altered poop output. I would also discontinue any fresh veggies for the time being until he’s been seen by the vet.

Reduced poop output means reduced hay intake. Please ensure you switch from weekly weight checks and instead weigh your piggy daily so you can more closely monitor hay intake. Any weight loss and you need to step in with syringe feeding and see a vet.
