My guinea pig snowbird recently chipped her two top front teeth and the roots seem to be showing unsure what to do for her I am shreading her food and all that as well as monitor her eating as well as her roots to be sure they don't get infected if anyone has any additional advice please post something on this thread. Is it necessary to see a vet or will the teeth most likely be ok. Thanks for the info have a good rest of your day!

Please do see a vet. Broken teeth do grow back, but you need to be sure there isn’t an issue with the break which may cause further problems.

Please ensure you switch from weekly weight checks and instead weigh her daily so you can be sure she is still eating enough hay (stepping in with syringe feeding a recovery feed or mushed pellets, if she is losing weight). Hay intake cannot be gauged by eye and weighing is the only way to know they are getting enough fibre.
Cutting veg into strips can make it easier for them to pick it up but ensuring she is still enough plenty of hay and is the most important thing.

If you could add a country/county to your location, then that would help us greatly with providing more tailored advice without risking your online safety.

Good luck at the vets. I hope it grows back with no issues. 🤞
