Hi!
I've had my girls now for about a year, and they seem to be fine. They've got a large cage (and practically take over the conservatory with their stuff, lots and lots of hay, lots of food, water etc. But recently I've been wondering if I'm doing enough for them. They seem to be happy (as far as I can tell), they have enough space (four rooms?) and they seem to like each other (apart from a bit of moodiness). But should I get them more toys? Should I spend more time with them? Are they happy enough. And also, can I use woodchips, or is it the same as sawdust?

Any tips welcome,

Thanks!

I imagine they are fine, but maybe put up a picture of their home ? Welcome to the forum !

Hello, the fact you have joined an online forum probably means you are a very conscientious owner :) pop a photo up and we will try and advise a little more. Lots of hay, space and hidey's is great it really is :) As for time with them that is up to you, some people get their pigs out daily for lap times others like us not so often. There is no right or wrong way really when it comes to levels of interaction with pigs. They are often happy on either front. We interact with our girls in the cage as they live in the main room with us, but we only have them on laps ever three weeks or so... But the are still quite tame and enjoy coming over to us a feeding times etc.... Or for a fuss in the case of our eldest.
