Guinea Pig Chewing On Cage Mate's Hair?

Lately I've noticed my Reptar has been chewing on his cage mate's Maximus' hair. Maximus is a sheltie so he has long smooth fur. What's odd is that it doesn't even seem to bother Maximus almost like he's use to it. Now Reptar is doing it to human hair as well. What is this?

That behaviour is called Barbering. It is not really known why piggies do it, it is widely regarded there are no emotional issues linked with any pigs that barber such as boredom etc.... as happy piggies do it. Perhaps they really want to be hair dressers. It is honestly nothing to worry about.
