Hiya I've got two guinea pigs who are a year old. They're brothers and have lived with each other quite happily since I got them a year ago.
I woke up tonight with Sammy sqealing as Ollie is chasing him around the cage. He was chasing and mounting him and didn't seem to be tiring of it. I took Ollie out of the cage for 5 minutes to see if he'd calm down but when I put him back in he just went straight for Sammy again. I've checked Sammy over for any wounds but can't see any. I left them to it for a few minutes but Ollie just wasn't giving up. I've put a divider down the middle of the cage just now, they can both see each other (it's a c&c cage). I just don't know what to do for the better.
Ollie is normally quite placid and timid but he does seem more hyped up than normal.
If it's just dominant behaviour, then surely he would have given up by now, Sammy is just trying to get away he's not exactly putting up any fight.
Like I said I don't know what to do and would appreciate any help as I don't really want to split them up.
