hi! so my two piggies have a 6x2 c&c cage, however i want to extend and give them a loft. so far i have decided i want to do a 1x4 loft so it’s an L shape in the corner yet they still have “light” in the already kitchen area of their cage plus it keeps it relatively easy to clean. but i was wondering how i could support the loft area because it’s a long one instead of say a 2x2 loft i am a bit baffled how to do it so it is all supported and safe. any suggestions would be great! thank you! 💕 the picture included is their current cage!

You could buy the support bars that are sold for c&c cages. They could go across the width of the cage, 2 of them equally placed. Or you could buy lengths of wood and a lot them underneath the loft (lengthways or widthways) for support. I used the latter when mine were in a two tier c&c. There were two pieces of wood running the length of the cage, poking out a little at each end. It seemed to work well.
