guinea pig blocked nose

One of my guinea pig has a really blocked nose, he was already a heavy breather when we bought him from his previous owner, but it has been getting worse and worse, he now breathes very loudly every night, we took him to the vet but they just gave him a shot of antibiotics and he became a bit better, but its getting worse again, what should we do?

Was he just given one injection?
If he has a diagnosed respiratory infection than normally they are given a course of antibiotics for at least a week.

Please do take him back to the vet for a further check.
