I’m not sure if this other pigs do this, but my pig getting mean when it gets close to supper time or bed time. We will be laying on the chair or the couch and she will be relaxing. She gets restless all of a sudden and bites me. She pulls on my top lip or bites my cheek or chin. Not sure if other pigs have this behavior. Thanks.

As above it may be she wants to go back to her cage. Does she have a companion?

She does not have a companion. She came from a pair, but her and the other guinea pig did not get along. I think she is used to being fed at certain times and when we go over her feeding time she gets cranky.

Please get her a friend. Not getting on with one doesn’t mean she wouldn’t get along with another. They’re very social and need companionship of their own kind. The best thing you could do is to get her a friend. Hope you can do that soon 😌 and she may want to go back to her cage if she’s biting etc.

How long do you have her out for? She could be saying she needs the toilet. If she is out of her cage for a long time, then she is likely telling you she has had enough. They need access to hay constantly so she won’t want to be away from it for long periods of time. She may now be feeling confident enough to tell you that she doesn’t like being out for too long.

She does need a character compatible friend to live with. They are highly social animals. She didn’t get on with the other piggy because they werent character compatible, so she needs to be found a new with whom she is compatible. Human contact is never enough for them unfortunately
