Hey guys!
My guinea Pig Oreo, bit me while I was trying to cut her nails. I was feeding her lettuce and she thought my finger was a piece of it and took at big strong bite into it. Oh no! I looked down at my finger and it was starting to bleed. I went upstairs and started to clean my finger with those cleaning wipes. It hurt, but not that much. I'm not very worried, my only question is, will this cause any serious illnesses/sickness?

Only if the wound gets infected, just keep it clean, maybe covered when cleaning out and handling the pigs and see a doctor if you’re worried about it at any point

Oh dear.
Hope the finger heals well.
It should be fine if kept clean.
Oreo is obviously very enthusiastic about her food.
Thanks! The lettuce I was feeding her was her favorite veggie so I guess that's why she took at big bite out of it *my finger

Ouch! You should be OK, but watch for infection as @Guineapigfeet says. I thought you meant the bite was because you were nail cutting, but a mistake is better. My Bobby tries to bite as he hates his nails being cut, and everything else that isn't a chin rub. Fortunately it's more warning nibbles than full on teeth attack.

Oh dear - painful 😬
I am sure your finger will be ok, as @Merab’s Slave said keep it clean and I will put some antiseptic on it as a precaution.
Oreo must have been very excited over her lettuce!

Just keep it clean and maybe put on a dab of Polysporin... if it's any consolation, I've been nipped by many small animals and have never gotten an infection from any of them. Our past dwarf hamster, Eevee, drew blood on pretty much a weekly basis for her whole life, so I know of what I speak! LOL!

I’ve had plenty of bites from scared rescue piggies.
None have ever been too serious but I have simply cleaned them with antiseptic and kept them covered until they healed.
The most embarrassing one was when I was holding a piggy in the rescue while Helen clipped his nails. He was a very laid back piggy who we’d had neutered and had been an angel so far. He was just about to be bonded with a family’s sow and then to be adopted. He gave me a couple of warnings that he didn’t like what Helen was doing and then sunk his teeth into my index finger giving me a really nasty bleeding bite. He was a beautiful cream piggy. He went into the bonding pen with blood streaks down his side where I had dripped blood all over him. Again it healed just fine.
One of our foster carers did get a very nasty bite to his palm when he had to separate 2 boars he was introducing on neutral territory, who decided to go from 0 to full blown fight in 5 seconds. He needed stitches but again no nasty infection.
I think you just need to take normal precautions.
