Guinea pig being very very vocal is this normal

Hi, in the last 3 weeks my very unsociable guinea pig of 2 years has become very very needy. She cries for attention all the time, really loudly! She always gets a cuddle when she does this, do you think this is what she is wanting or could there be something wrong. I know its not much to go on, but thought maybe someone could shed some light on this sudden change in behaviour and if its normal behaviour. Thanks

how old is your pig? could it be pining for a mate?

She is 2 years old, and she lives with another guinea pig. She used to be quite aggressive and hated being picked up and would bite. But in the last week her behaviour has turned around 100%. As I said she cries all the time as soon as she hears anyone coming she will do this at the top of her voice till she is picked up and cuddled.

It could be that your piggy is lonely and wants a friend but if it is a sudden change of character she might be poorly too. Have you noticed if she is eating and drinking as normal?
Obviously I dont want to scare you into think she is ill but it just could be a sign. I once had a rabbit that was not very sociable but then suddenly he wanted your attention all the time then I realised he wasnt well
