I have seen a few pics with soft guinea pig beds, a bit like minature cat or dog beds. I was wondering how you would keep those clean? My boys tend to poop and wee in their sleeping area, and it seems to me that beds like that would be filthy in no time. Are they machine washable? And do you have to change them every day?

Just wondering if they are worth all the trouble? Mine currently have a plastic house each just on top of the fleece and they sleep in those.

personally i give the cosy houses when its cold and they seem to love them, but usually they have the plastic igloos on fleece.

Trouble is, today i washed both the cosies (as mine pee in them alllllll the time) and they are still sat on the line soaking as its chucking it down!

They're easy to clean just pop them in the wash after you give them a shake, they need changing around every two-three days if you keep them in the cage over night..my boys like to widdle in theirs! I use cotton beds for the summer and fleecey ones for the chilly winter nights :)

Thanks everyone! I guess I would have to buy 4 - so that I could have 2 in the cage and 2 in the wash. They don't really need it for warmth as they live indoors at the moment but I think they might like them.

I wash mine every 2 or 3 days and overnight leave them on the back of a chair. In the morning they are dry.

Easy!
