Guinea-Pig Bed?

I go with my Mum to car boot sales quite regularly and I've noticed a lot of people are selling those plastic dog beds all in different sizes. I was thinking of getting the smallest one and just filling it with newspaper and hay and making a kind of bed for the guinea-pigs, what do you think? Would this be Ok for them? I'd prefer it to the fleecey ones becasue my guinea-pigs just pee on them and make them muddy because they live outside.
 
I use the dog beds quite a lot - but upside down! They make great houses and the entrance is too big for one pig to block. Some like lying on the top on a fleece. I use them the right way up for their readigrass stash.

I was going to get one for my girls but decided it would take up too much room in there cage so went for a stool covered in a fleece, which they love :)
 
I found one yesterday, it was the perfect size, brand new and only £2.50 :) I've covered it in a fleecey blanket and I'm going to fill it with hay and give it to the guinea-pigs later.
