My guinea is about 1 year and a bit s, for a long time now every time he cleans his bits or his back he makes almost like a moaning noise. If I was to touch a certain patch or his back he’d go for me. (His a loving guinea pig just has a thing about the patch) his done it for ages and his always biting that patch of hair. He has no mites or anything, he doesn’t scratch loads. I do have to clean his bits for him now and then as his lazy with it.

Please do have him seen by a vet just in case he is experiencing discomfort in that area.

Hello. I agree that a vet appointment is necessary. If he’s not very good at cleaning himself then that could be a sign there is something going on. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Please have your piggy seen by a vet. My RB Piggy Silver Fox Christian had arthritis in his back and was given Metacam by the vet to stop it from hurting. I'm not saying that this is what your piggy has, obviously, as only a vet can diagnose. Let us know what the vet says.
