Hi so I am really worried as I put a cardboard box in for my pigs to play in and Percy has eaten some of it. It was plain brown card which I thought was ok but I read somewhere that if it is corrugated ( the wavy layer in) it is harmful. I am super stressed- has anyone else’s pig nibbled at this? Please help! Thanks so much! X

Hello Pigglemama as far as I know corrugated card if it’s just cardboard is ok if nibbled - I’m sure someone with more knowledge/experience will be along to offer advice - try not to worry

Try not to worry! You can buy carrot cottages which are safe for guinea pigs and I’m pretty sure they’re made from corrugated card (someone please correct me if I’m wrong), one of my pigs used to love eating the cardboard from the carrot cottages - probably more than hay!

Definitely not fibre glass and I think it’s just firmly squeezed together !
