Julesie
Senior Guinea Pig
I have four boys. Two of which were downstairs and two of which were upstairs.
Now earlier I brought the younger two guinea pigs downstairs and put their cage on top of the other two guinea pigs cage.
The two younger guinea pigs were trying to climb on top of the other and spinning around in circles trying to dominate.
The problem is, now they did that my two older boys are doing it too. They were completely fine before and I was wondering if the two boys on top making all the noise and trying to dominate one another (they are only young, about 8 weeks and about 14 weeks) has made the older two guinea pigs want to show they are the top guinea pig?
It's Gilbert, the dominant who is trying to top Ludwig and only started because, I am guessing, the younger two trying.
What should I do? Should I take the younger guinea pigs back upstairs and keep their cage in my room or wait for it to ride out or?
I was hoping to keep the younger ones downstairs as they need to get used to humans being around and I am not in my room often enough for them to get used to us.
Any help please?
ps. The younger two aren't trying to dominate anymore, its just the older two.
