I have two guinea dad liners that I swap back and forth but I see that my
Guinea pigs are soiling each one much faster so I was wondering how much detergent everyone else exactly uses. I use tide and I’m in the US

I use half the amount of non bio detergent recommended on the pack, use vinegar in the softer compartment and set the machine on an extra rinse. It's a 2 hour wash cycle on a 30/cool wash.

I do a full bedding change and wash roughly twice a week but I have 2 skinnies in the smallest cage allowed for 2 piggies so mine will probably get muckier than most. How often are you changing the liner?

If your piggies are new they could just be gaining confidence and eating/drinking more and toileting more or just moving about spreading it more.

I don't use too much detergent and use fragrance free non bio, but wash at 60 degrees to get things clean through heat. I use pee pads or fleece blankets or vet bed where they sleep, and they're changed more often than the whole fleece liner.
