Hi all,

I wonder whether people are getting any little gifts for the guineas.
Be it big gifts, small gifts, stocking fillers, hand made gifts or hand picked forage.

I lost a pig recently so I'm feeling like spoiling my remaining pig.
I got two new babies which I will put on a separate post. They did not come from a great situation so I'm getting them back up to optimal health and double checking their gender before I introduce them to my 3-4 year old Peruvian boar Womble.

Before I lost my boy Stripe, I commissioned a couple of personalised Christmas decorations from an amazing artist in Etsy. Miniature guinea pigs rabbits mice food & many by GizzysGifts
I have added pictures.

Now for my pigs. I ordered 1 hay pigs circus themed treat ball, 2 hay pigs circus themed fleece hideys and some summer fields forage.
I also have some hanging chew toys of hay for the babies coming from Small pet select but that's more a necessity than a Christmas present.

I want to see other guinea pig sites and goodies so I have a broader choice in future.😊 Plus I'm wondering what's popular with other pigs/piggie owners.

Check out piggie parcels for forage. That’s likely all I’ll get this year....not that I’ve really gotten them anything in the past. They just eat like kings and queens on Christmas Day.

I tend to get them things they need and try not to go mad spoiling them, even though it's very tempting.
Last year it was spare guinea dad fleeces. The old ones were getting holes in (from someone chewing them!) and also looking a bit tatty.

This year I wanted to try them with some fluffy hides as opposed to their usual boxes and carrot cottage. I hope they enjoy it.😊

Thank you for the suggestion, I was looking at them in guinea pig magazine this morning.😁 Will give them a second look.😊

I wrote this on another thread already but I'm getting my boys some ratton balls, piggie parcels forage and probably a carrot cottage or hay cube but after seeing a thread about cardboard tanks for piggies I'm tempted to get them some cars for play time

I saw those tanks! They are so tempting. Womble would like so adorable with his grumpy little old man face peeking out of on of them. What are ratton balls? Can you provide a picture? The carrot cottage and hay cube are great ideas my boy always loves them! :)

Ratton balls are like tangled balls of like thin sticks that you can stuff hay and treats into for piggies I posted a picture on the other thread but I can't post it here because I've changed phone and I'm not home right now so I can't take another one

Oh I know what you mean. They're made of willow and apple wood etc. :)

@Sweet Potato These are what you were talking about! I know about these. I just didn't know that specific name. I learnt something new! :D Thank you.

Xmas for Piggies:

(1) Two new hideouts: Bumblebee and Honey Pot
(2) Living World Treat Game
(3) Bigger Cage (namely due to additional baby pigs, but we are to spoil these piggies with an awesome cage)
(4) I'm making them some new snuggle cups/ snuggle sacks / and hammocks to go with the new cage!

Pedro and Basil have already broken into their Piggy Parcel selection box , but will get a hay cube on the day and of course will get some luscious red cabbage, parsnips and Brussels sprouts too!

Naughty piggies!🤣 Are they liking it? I haven't tried the hay cube yet but I'm hearing good things about it! Veggiesare always popular I see!

I bought them from Steph's Piggiee Paradise. She always have loads of orders though so I always have to wait around 3 weeks or more.

You can look for more sellers from this thread.

Aww thanks I'll check those out. It's always nice to check out new guinea fleeces and accessories. I'm thinking about getting fluffier things for inside the cage.

Wow she's very popular! I read on her fb page she had to close orders until the new year because she's got so much on! That shows her stuff is well liked. I will have a look at her stuff again!

I have got Pepper and Pringle an advent calendar and they have a new fleece forest on the way that they can wait for!

Yes, I've got liners from her and a couple of pig'a'boo tunnels. They are great. If not for waiting a long time, I would have ordered frequently. Although I've bought a lot from different sellers in that list I posted above and they mostly turned out amazing. I always try to buy the ones with good absorbent layer.

Yes, I actually thought that when I was looking at them "do they have good absorbancy?"

I know some fleece are not up to the job with guinea pigs wetting it constantly.

That's good to know her fleece is up to that standard. :) Thank you for sharing. :)

I don't tend to buy things for my piggies at Christmas as they already have far more stuff than they need. However, i do donate to a couple of guinea pig rescues as they usually need things for their piggies, especially over the winter and due to Covid meaning that a lot of them currently have no income from adoption fees / Christmas Fairs, etc.

That's nice of you and it's a good cause and they are having a hard time lately.
