We have 2 females that have recently fallen out and had to be seperated. The rspca have recommended getting a neutered boy in with one because she seems lonely since the split, has anyone got any views on this?

All attempts at reconciliation have failed with the girls so far, we've tried bathing them together and pretty much every reintroduction process recommended on the internet! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :)

Yes our two bumble and Hamish used to fight.

Well not Hamish used to bully bumble, and i used to take her out the cage when hamish bullied her and she used to lick me to say thank you. And we used to have to put Hamish in another cage overnight or 2 so Hamish could cool down. But once we put big bad boy rimmer in there (neutered of course) they are fine with each other. They play and stuff. And rimmer is always rumpling around them and sorting them out :p

ALSO put them in the put and put a divider or something in the middle so they can't get to each other but they can see each other and see if they are ok with each other through the bars

Thanks for the replies all of you! i've only been on the american forums before so its fab to have someone actually reply so quickly!
I'm new to this forums thing.

At the mo the girls are in seperate cages but next to each other so they can smell and talk and see each other but they keep chewing the bars so i'm worried they are going to end up with broken teeth, do you think i should move them? ?

Also they fell out because Wen got a water infection so the vet put her on baytril which made her stop eating and we nearly lost her. Now she's back to full health. Just wish we could get them back together :(

Have you got room to get them a neutered boar each? if you search for a guinea pig rescue in your area, they may have neutered boars in, though usually they pair them up with sows before re homing :-\

Hi! Wen's cage is big enough to for two but al's isnt really. The only place near us that re-homes havent got any neutered boars that they dont want to split from their friends so i can see it being quite difficult to get hold of a man for my ladies! :(
