The boys are 14 weeks ol dnow and puberty has hit with a vengance! They're spent the best part of the day in the run (on the lounge floor) squaring up to each other with majorly chattering teeth and lots of butt waggling and humping.

Not sure how things will go for the rest of the day but we may well end up taking another trip to the pet shop tomorrow for a spare cage :(

mine are doing lots of rumbling at the moment and bum swaying. Scruffy nudges Max out the way at night when hes tired and wants his sofa corner! but thats it, they've been like it for ages now but i know its not vicious so i just let them be.

Max has hit the 12 week mark now so hes getting a little big for his boots i think! Scruffy will sort him out!

Just keep anon them, if it gets nasty and blood starts spilling, take them apart!

They're happily sharing food bowls still and are currently both in their cage snuggled up together.

Hopefully they'll settle down but I'm not overly confident.

As much space as you can, two of everything (bowls, bottles, toys, hidey holes etc) and hopefully it may minimize the problem. Sometimes they just get a rush of hormones I think, I'm pretty sure something is in the air recently here in Kent as my bonded boars and my friends have both been rumbling like crazy at each other!

Good luck, hopefully you won't need that extra cage :)

Well, I stayed downstairs last night with them and slept on the sofa and the little were fine with each other!

I'm hoping yesterday was just a show of dominance in the run and that any issues in the cage have been sorted but I've got the money put aside to buy a new cage if it comes to it.

ohhh
there so funny when they're young
mine are two and although there are the odd arguements they have never needed to be separated
i think just leave them and if they start actually attacking each other and there is blood then separate them
