So I need at least a 6x2 c&c but don't have masses of room as I live in a flat and they will be in my lounge. Any ideas ?

Are you happy to give them free run of the room? I have a small c&c cage in the living room, where I put some hay for them at floor time and just leave it open. They have their big cage upstairs but it would work as a stand alone.DSC_0226.webp

something like an L shape?
maybe also a cage in two floors...
If nothing is possible there is another option: you can leave your cage as little as it is now, but you can arrange a room (I have arranged my kitched) for the piggies putting some box on the floor, some hidey, some tunnel and some hences for letting them walk in the allowed side. If you hide some pellet here and there in the corners they move around...
Of course I don't suggest this idea if you have a carpet on the floor. I have tiles which can be washed.

I see you have a beautiful carpet floor: doesn't it get ruined with the wee of the piggies? how do you wash the stains? I keep my piggies far from the living room because I have a carpet (and also because there are too many cables)

They seldom wee at floor time, and if they do it's usually in the cage or on the pads I have in the places where they tend to poop. There is the odd poop elsewhere but I just sweep it up. I do clean the carpet fairly regularly as it gets a lot of outside coming in - and it's cream coloured, so you see any dirt very easily.

Yes, I also don't care of the poo... although yesterday the technician of the telephone came home for a repair, bent on his knees for working with the plug in the corner and found 5 little surprises...:))
My piggies are often on my (cream coloured) sofa which I cover with a special cloth, but they are able to find the only little uncovered spot for leaving their wee... they manage to wee even on the seatback! Luckily it is an Ikea washable sofa...:(

Lol. I'm quite lucky with the weeing. They are quite civilised.
