Hello friends! This is my boy Henry I came home from work today and found his eye like this it had more white stuff to it but I wiped it off. Not too sure as to what is it so I’m hoping someone could help me? He has a friend in his cage and Wilbur has nothing wrong with him. Henry is still super energetic so I think it might just be swollen, requiring some eye drops? Let me know! (Growth inside the eyelid)

Poor boy - his eye does look sore, so I would pop him along to the vets.
Particularly if this appeared while you were out, he may have something caught or stuck in his eye.
Because eyes can deteriorate quickly, I would try and have him seen first thing tomorrow.

I agree - please see a vet for a hands-on examination and the appropriate treatment.

Let us know how he gets on! Eye problems are cheaper if you catch them early and as they are painful the vet should give you painkiller (metacam or loxicom) as well as some antibiotic cream. 'Hay poke' is something that can happen to any pig... but best to treat it rather than to wait and see. I've never took a pig in with any sort of eye problem where the vet has said, "Oh.... let's just leave it for a bit and see what happens!" They ALWAYS prescribe :tu:

Just wanted to update everyone! He’s all better now. I never took him to the vet just whipped his eye with a damp cloth and kept on eye on it and it went away on its own, thanks for all the advice.
