I've not got pigs yet, but I'm getting everything ready.
I saw on Pinterest the idea to grow grass in a hard plastic dog bed. I loved that idea because then they could have access to grass in their run that's on concrete attached to their hutch.
I haven't been able to find dog beds yet, but just for a few seed trays instead. Then I wondered if the plastic would be too thin and dangerous if the pigs chewed it, would a dog bed be safer?

I would get a plant pot or make something out of wood if you are good at diy.
Give the plastic a go and supervise them, if they chew it remove it!

i'd supervise if using the seed trays. they'd probably eat through that grass pretty quickly anyway. the dog bed sounds like a great idea. would be like a mini lawn :luv:

Thanks, back to dog bed it is. Much harder to chew. I'll use the seed trays for seeds... I'm planning on having a couple on the go to rotate so one can recover while they devour the other one.
