I have two male piggies one I have had for longer and he like pets a lot more. The other one is finally letting me pet his head for the first time! However, neither of them make it easy to cut their nails any ideas or tips? They are skittish when it comes to that. And my nice one is scared of the clipper because one time I got his quick.

My Rainbow Piggy Silver Fox Christian was a nightmare for nail clips. I wrapped him up in a blanket so he looked like a piggy burrito and pulled out a foot, snipped all the nails on that foot, unwrapped him, wrapped him back up again, pulled out another foot and so on until all of his nails were clipped. Here is the handsome boy himself for a bit of piggy spam. We'd love you to spam us with pigtures of your piggies too.

I always wimped out and took my piggies to the vets to have their nails cut 😂 More so after lockdown when vets wasn’t seeing pets for routine things and my husband butchered my late Edwards nails 😞

I get my husband to hold my piggies still while I do their nails. They hate it but it's the only way I can do it otherwise they just wriggle and run away.

When my piggies lay down I see their breathing is very fast. I assume this is normal but I am always concerned for their health. Also I have heard they occasionally poop a greener poop that contains nutrients they eat . I have never seen my do this or have a different type of poop does this mean anything about their nutrition

Also big problem there nails are getting way to long but like I can’t cut them it took me 10 minutes to get them back in their cage today because I can’t pick them up. Also any advice on cleaning a fleece the washer isn’t doing it there is a bunch of stains and residue

I use a couple of horse wash bags to put the fleece in before it goes in the washing machine. You can get them off Amazon. I've looked on the US site for you.

Amazon.com

I have 2 of these. All the hay and fur that you don't manage to brush off, stays in the bag and the fleece is washed properly, then I either hang it outside or put it over an airer inside. Don't tumble dry the fleece as it may shrink.

I used non bio liquid (until I discovered Eco eggs) and a bit of white vinegar in the conditioner drawer (this cleans the machine and also leaves the fleece soft)

Here is our guide to everything fleece:-

Ok thank you. I will definitely order the horse wash bags. Is this the ecoegg thing you mean. That’s so cool that it lasts so long. Also I will get that as it seems to be safer for piggies. Is it alright that I have been using normal detergent

Yes and yes.....😁
I've been using ecoegg for several years.
Also the poo they eat is usually grabbed straight from the bum 🤢
If you watch long enough you will see them duck down to their bits then come up chewing 🤮

Yes the fragrance free one is best for your piggies.
