Advice needed. Over the past 6 weeks or so I am having problems with grooming Jaffa, who is 8 months old. When I start he squeaks and kicks his back legs out as though he is ticklish. However, when my hubby grooms Jaffa he doesn't exhibit any of this behaviour! When having cuddles he has started nipping me unexpectedly too. Is he sensing I am female? Is there anything we can do to calm this behaviour down or is it adolescent behaviour that will calm down by itself? Any advice appreciated!

Jaffa s probably trusting you a lot more and therefore daring to tell you what he doesn't like.

Just tell him firmly but calmly off when he misbehaves and continue what you have been doing. Fondle his ear as if you were the dominant guinea pig and rub him under his chin. That way, he will learn in a way that makes sense to him what is acceptable behaviour and what not. Hopefully, he will stop after a while.
