So I have 3 boars with 3 very different coats who all looovve being brushed but am always unsure if I am using the correct brush for each individual coat.

I have Denver my abysinnian, Mose my Himalayan and Sven my teddy.

Sven his coat is so dense and wirey I feel like I just pat the top with the brush rather than give him a good groom.I just wanna help get some of the dead hair out to help cool him, as the summer heat he is struggling with. His coat almost feels like a huskys coat very dense almost like a double coat. I even tried giving him a cool bath to help cool him down and its like the water just slicks off his coat rather than sink into his skin. His skin around his face and ears is always very dry which I read is common in the breed, he has seen a vet about this and it is just dry skin. I have never owned this breed before and just want to make sure i am doing it right.

Denver is easy to groom and Mose who doesnt even really need brushed but he just enjoys it, so i bought him a small massage rubber brush that he loves.

Any help for Svens coat would be appreciated.

Two of my first piggies were rexes who had very thick and dense wiry coats- I used a wide-toothed comb on their coats first and then used the normal brush afterwards...although I was very careful not to press down (I always used it at an angle from their body so the prongs didn't touch the skin) or pull if it ever encountered resistance.

Hope that helps?
