I am looking to make a C&C for the girlies and I have found some grids on ebay it says theres 4 in one pack ? how many would i need? I'm so confused about all this mallethead heres the link

There's enough grids to make 4 cubes in each pack so there should be 16 panels. You usually get a mix of mesh and grid panels.
Have a look on ebay too. Try searching for 'Seville storage'. Watch for postage if ordering multiple packs as some charge extra.

:)

Technically i want space for 5 piggies ... (incase I want to add to my 2) so how many pannels mi nimum would i need? i find it all so confusing :(

5 pigs, I think would need a 2x7, 4 pigs are kept in a 2x6.

depending if you wanted a grid floor too. I don't have a floor on my bottom cage but if you did in total you would need 32 grids I think.

It depends really on the space you have available and whether you are going to have your cage standing on the floor.

Looking at the cavy cages recommendations I assume that 5 pigs would need 2 x 7 space of grids. That would be a very long cage. You don't need to have your cage in this configuration though, a 3 x 5 would work well (which would be one grid space bigger in terms of floor space).

If you're planning to have the cage on the floor then you don't need grids to make the bottom of the cage, you just need enough to make the frame in which to sit the correx tray. So for a 3 x 5 you would need 3 for each short side and 5 for each long side = 16 grids. For a 2 x 7 you would need 2 for each short side and 7 for each long side = 18 grids.
If you're thinking about having more than one level then there's a bit more working out.
This site gives good instructions and photos on how to make a c & c cage.

:)) Flintstones beat me to it. Yes, 32 grids if you want a floor for a 2 x 7.

I think 2x7 is what I'm going for as i have the length but it needs to fit in neatly width wise if that makes sense? I got some spare laminate i was going to use for a abse and cover it with fleece towels etc will this work? i seriously need a walk through I'm mince at all this stuff! x

I did that before my first c & c I used laminate for the base.

Depending when you are looking to make said cage, I may have some grids as I'm revamping mine but it won't be until a fortnights time and I will also have to see exactly how many I need! I think, all going to plan (Hard part there will be loads less!)

I live near Romily :)

i got some grids like that, i thought it would be big enough for a 2x4 cage with the bottom and top, but it is only big enough for a 2x3 cage with just the bottom, so i have ordered enougher one, so hopefully it will come soon!
