Today was my rescue squirrel Gloria’s second birthday . And while I’m aware this is a forum for guinea pigs I just wanted to post a little something to say how grateful I am to have her in my life.

Thank you she fell from a tree and was being attacked by crows, some friends of mine found her and bought her to me and my sister who had rescued and rehabbed wild animals in the past. I always intended to set her free when she was old enough but a law was passed in the uk making it illegal to place grey squirrels back in to the wild and now she is simply too tame.

We have loads of squirrels where I live. The oak trees in the back gardens have loads of huge dreys. I loved seeing the family of baby squirrels venture out of their drey and slowly become more confident in themselves and daily go further and further away until they were charging along the treeline at back of the houses in my road.

I can tell when they are not happy with each other too.
The make a terrible racket.

Thank you Gloria is very friendly with me but can be a bit aggressive with others. I can pretty much do anything with her from rubbing her belly to getting things out of her mouth she shouldn’t be eating lol . She is very curious and learns quickly but I do have a lot of scratches from her rough play
