Green beans

Hi there

I was just wondering is it safe to give guinea pigs green beans daily as a lot of the internet sites say they are quite high in calcium
 
Hello. Yes green beans are safe daily. My Pepper LOVES his green beans. 😃

Not too many though.

Normally give them about 2 or 3 each along with other veggies as quite often my girls are wheeking for more

Hay is the most important part of the diet and its that which they should be filling up on.
Piggies learn to beg for food but its important you dont give in and instead stick to giving them around one cup of a variety of veg per day. If they ask for more food, throw in some more fresh hay instead of risking overdoing veggies.
I personally would not give any more than one green bean each per day

Green beans (French beans) are a staple in our house, my four get them every day 😁
