Hi,

Just getting my lawn ready for grass time for my girls (hopefully very soon!).
I’ve noticed lots of these plants growing through the grass and wondered if anyone knew what they are and if they are ok for piggies.
Thank you!

Not an expert, but I think the white flowers are bittercress - which is piggy safe; and the pink, herb Robert, not sure about that one. Someone else will know!

The one with the teeny tiny pale blue flowers in little clusters is corn salad (Valerianella). I don't know whether it's piggy safe but it's very pretty! And yes the pink is herb Robert.

I love having my lawn full of wild flowers, but I also keep a few patches mostly grassy. I always feel bad about rooting out buttercups and ragwort because they are important for insects, but no good for furry friends!
