So when I take my guinea pigs out separate or together the one always seems so restless like he doesn't mind sitting on my lap and being pet and all but he never just falls asleep and chills he will chill for a bit and than walk around my lap and try to leave than come back to chill for a bit any advice or suggestions

Lap time is different from floor time. Maybe you need to let them run around before trying for cuddles? Also a nice snack like a piece of cucumber or carrot keeps piggies happily on your lap, at least until the food runs out

Hi and welcome

By far not all guinea pigs enjoy long cuddling sessions; that is a myth and a misconception! Just take him as he is and enjoy interacitng with him in other ways, like during run time. That is as much fun and in some ways even more interesting.

What you're saying is just let him do that?
