I'm getting a new outdoor hutch next week for my guinea pig Chucky and then getting him a friend so it's a two tier hutch just invade they fight, I'm just worried that won't bond as much with me if they are outside even though I'll still being them in to have a run on the floor everyday and so I can hold them. At the moment Chucky is indoors and he has only just started to tame and not be as scared as he used to be, so for people who have there guinea pigs outdoors do you still bond with them? ( just to include I'll be bringing them both back in when it's colder) :)

Before the two girls I have now, I always kept my piggies outdoors. It takes longer to build the bond in my opinion but I always bonded very well with them. They knew who I was. When they heard my voice they would wheek :)

My new girls are indoors then will go outdoors in summer.

I still bond with my outdoor piggies but they don't get as much attention. I would keep them in a shed or garage as visiting piggys in the pouring rain and trying to catch them or stop clean is not easy and bedding blows everywere!

My piggies are indoors in winter and at night and from spring to autumn they go outdoors by day. I bond well with them.
