I have two 3 year-ish old boars who I adopted last august and can now proudly say I've gotten into a great routine with their cleaning, housing, feeding and exercising and have been thinking about the options I might have if I wanted to get more piggies - my shed is big and I feel I can confidently give a home to two more.
I am not looking to break up Spud and Freckles though, as they do get on well enough and at their age (which is a guess at best!) I don't think it's fair to neuter them unnecessarily, so I am happy to keep them as they are.
So I am thinking of getting more boys (really don't want to risk the piggies ever getting mixed up and I am sure the smell of females in the shed would drive the boys nuts anyway - but please correct me if I am wrong thinking this
So would two sets of boys living in one shed (separate hutches) work? Would the smell of other boys cause conflict or am I over thinking this?
I also am leaning towards boys as these are usually the ones that pop up in my only piggie rescue, and they are few and far between - which is good!
Not wanting to shoot straight out and get any more yet but as usual this is a great place to mull things over!
