I lost my sweet Snickers last night. I will do a tribute when my heart hurts less, but my question is how long do I wait to try to bind her cagemate? I have a female trio and duo, but I don't have a lot of confidence in either one. She was hiding this morning. I did a full cage clean and added a bunch of new things. It seemed to perk her up. How long should I wait?

Sending hugs, I’m so sorry you lost Snickers x
You can wait until you are ready unless she stops eating and becomes very depressed

So very sorry that you lost Snickers.
You don’t have to rush to get a new companion but see how her cagemate goes. If she’s coping you have a bit of time, if she’s not copi with the loss it’s a bit more urgent.

She will be ready for a new companion before you think you are, but don’t worry about that. Hearts have a way of expanding to embrace a new piggy and the love spills over.

Be gentle with yourself as you grieve.
Hugs

I’m so sorry you have lost Snickers. I hope you can find a new friend when you are ready.

I tried her with my trio today. It did not go well. Ugh. I know she won't work the the remaining pair.
