After an awful March, losing first Biscuit then Wilbur (plus a friend to cancer), at the end of April we formally introduced our two remaining boars.

Brwsi (aka Crumble) the dark Abyssinian is very rambunctious and was keen to mount Picles (fka Pikachu) and chase him around. Picles would keep moving until he’d had enough and hold his ground in a tunnel or double entry hidey.

Gradually they settled and two weeks in seem to be good neighbours. Not best buddies but relieved that they have each other’s company. They are next to my desk during the day, reminding me to top up their hay or to give them some healthy snacks.

Still tough remembering the absent family but loving having these two close.8C03B09A-E579-4C02-88AD-959639D6DB7D.webp2080902A-D67F-48CA-9E84-59CFBA8360C5.webp

Such a gorgeous pair. Glad that’s working out well after the rotten time you’ve had.
So sorry about your losses.

It's always a relief when two bereaved piggies of yours decide that they can get on; especially in the middle of Lockdown!
It gives you the freedom to grieve as much and as for as long as you need to in your own pace to get over the roughest bit without having to worry about your remaining boys. Seeing them getting on with their own lives will hopefully help you as well.

Thank you for the update! Take care of yourself. You will never stop missing those that have gone but hopefully you can eventually remember them with fondness and not just with raw pain. When you suffer several losses in short succession, it takes longer because every new loss opens the previous not yet healed scars and you end up with what I call 'grieving indigestion' - too much to process all at once so your soul has to do it slowly bit by bit at its own speed. It makes for a rather miserable time but you will eventually get through it. I promise!

Thank you. Welling up just thinking about them now. You never forget the ones you’ve lost but it’s a reminder to make the most of what you have. ❤️

I am so sorry for your losses but glad there's a happy ending for these guys. ❤️ They are so beautiful especially the tan and brown one never seen that colour combo before!

So sorry you’ve had such a rough time lately but I bet these two little monkeys cheer you up no end x
They are gorgeous

Thanks. These two are real characters (aren’t they all?) - Picles is like a giant hamster, stuffing his cheeks and obsessed with food. Brwsi almost can’t walk without rumbling and strutting, wanting to be boss but not quite getting all his own way. 😁
