Hi. I have used grass hideys like these
http://www.the-rabbit-hutch-shop.com/large-grassy-hutch-rabbit-guinea_pig-house-ip860396.html

and they have been great except that the boars do a lot of scent marking and other unspeakable things to the grassy house and then it ends up smelling:)>>> and is fairly impossible to clean. The good things were the 2 openings ie entrance and exit so no boar gets boxed in and the fact that they can stand on the roof which they like doing.

So has anyone come across a good equivalent but that does not get quite so grim? You have got to love those smelly boys......

Thanks for ideas

I use a savic cocoon but that only has one entrace ... BUT they can both get in and out at the same time , my two have tiffs but snuggle up together in it nicely and if they are in the middle of a tiff one stays inside and one usually stands on the roof for a while or goes to the other end of the cage

its not pretty, its plastic and it has only one entrace so its not really what you after after but its really easy to clean

Its meant for rabbits so its quite large

Or a plastic childrens stool with a fleece over it? fleece and be removed and washed that it leaves 4 ways in and out then

Ours have a pigloo and wooden house, both of which they love, and they have some space under a platform too, but for something with more than one opening that’s easy to clean I would recommend a corner hammock, or something similar for them to hide under. Ours don’t particularly use it as a hammock to go on top of, but they enjoy running into it and sleeping under it. What I love about it is it doesn’t take up floor space as such, so they can still easily run in and out of it, and it just requires an occasional wash as the hairs get stuck to the top, but otherwise it’s great. There’s no chance of any one getting trapped in the corner either.

Thanks for those ideas - I hadn't thought of a hammock style hidey but quite a good thought, especially as it just uses the corner so more space left for chasing around. Kids stool also worth investigating.

I have a similar grass hidey that I bought from the hay experts. Little Pig ruined his first one (urinated copiously in it), so with the second one, I fold up a puppy training pad and then pop a bit of vet bed in over the top of the pad. This has protected the base fairly well so far and Pig loves it just as much.

Kiddies stools. :) Tescos do them in nice bright colours for £2.50

My two love them. Plenty of exits. :)

My boars have cardboard boxes from the supermarket as hidey. One didn't have a nice top, so I made fleece fit as "roof", fixed with velcro. Georgy loves to jump on top of the hidey.

When the boxes are stained, it's time to fetch the groceries in a cardboard box again!

cardboard boxes are a fav of ours too , lidl have some great ones, with different size holes to get in and out of, more than one hole, and put them in upside down, and there is no cardboard bottom to get soggy and smelly, so get yourself down to lidl, and treat your piggies !
