My girls are being housed outside - they do come inside when it is cold and they have plenty of hay and a special guinea pig hot water bottle when it gets a bit chilly and when it is not in the summer they have got cold ice packs covered in blankets so they don't get too cold and also sometimes they have a fan gently blowing near their hutch😁 but I am wanting to get another pair/trio of piggies but I would like them to be housed indoors. What sort of c&c cages are good? And what bedding should they have? Fleece or something else?😃 thanks😘

There is no ‘sort’ of c&c cages - they are what they are! Member Gallery: C&C cages/homemade cages
You can either buy all the components separately and put it together yourself, or you can buy the entire cage kit.
Bedding is entirely your choice really. You can use fleece or a disposable bedding.

Do your girls live outside permanently? I only ask because I note you say they come in when it is cold. Piggies shouldn’t be exposed to extremes of temperature. When it is cold, bringing them into the warm house and then taking them back outside isn’t good for them. They either need to be always outside or always inside so as to not expose them to such rapid temperature changes.

If you have space in your house for new guinea pigs, can I ask why you don't just bring the ones you already have inside? Sorry if I've misunderstood but seems a bit strange to get new guinea pigs to live in the house when you already have guinea pigs living outside!

Well, my piggies were already living outside when I got them so we kept them outside but all the rescues near us say that their piggies have to be housed inside😃 hope that explains it😅👌

In case it's helpful, I use my C&C cages both inside and outside, very convenient and they do not rust or anything. In the UK, I believe there are a few companies. Got mine from Kavee.
