Good bye my little angel Tessy!

Just two weeks after loosing Odi, we have had to help Tessy over the rainbow bridge as well.
She was a bit over 6.5 years old and was hardly able to move at all in the end. She was still eating but since she went downhill slowly day by day, I made this heartbraking decision again. My vet said that it was the right decision at the right time. She only need a little nudge to cross the bridge.

It was love at first sight when I first saw Tessy's baby pigture. At that time I wasn't looking for a new piggy but it had to be Tessy.
Billie was not impressed but they became really good friends over the years.

Tessy was never to be bothered with cuddles but she was always very quick with her teeth.
As an expert nipper who always applied the maximum pressum without ever breaking the skin, she was proud to be a founding member of GPFANS and chief nipper for many years.
In the group, she was always a friendly piggy and I often had to make sure that she got her fair share of veggies.

Tessy loved Muffin but had a very complicated relationship with his successor Odi. It was a bit of a soap opera relationship.
They couldn't live together, but they couldn't live apart either.

The camera loved Tessy's smile ... I've got a lot of really cute pigtures of my sweet girl.


But none of these pigtures will be a substitute for seeing her sweet face in the cage waiting for veggies or standing on her hind legs begging for a treat.

What a wonderful tribute to a special and much loved lady who found that she could not live apart from Odi after hed left for the Bridge, either. They are now back together again.

It is very tough for you as a loving owner but you have indeed done the right thing. Try to mourn them as the bonded pair they are and see them as a unit. It makes it that little bit easier on you, as I have found for myself in comparable scenarios.

I am so sorry to see your sad post. The past 2 weeks have been heart-wrenching for you even though it was through your love for Tessy that you had to make such a decision.
