IMG_6288.webp IMG_6287.webp I'm GOING TO CANADA YAY

So next week I'm going to Canada and my brother is looking after my two boys. Whilst I'm in Canada I'm thinking of getting some more C&c grids as they seem soooo much cheaper other there. I have found 2 types ( pictures above ) but I really want white cubes but then the black ones are much better value! By boys are currently living 2 2x4 in a l shape but the plastic coated grids and I hate them at the front so I thought I'd buy wire ones to make it look nicer ☺️ But I want white as it will go better. But black is better value. AHHHH what should I do someone please help

What about Perspex rather than grids, with us it has to be black grids, because the white, makes my OH eyes go funny.

How would I cut that and attach it though ?

Black grids and then spray white with Plasticote? If you make the correx base high enough, the piggies won't be able to chew the bars.

I was planning to make the correx 15cm up off of the sides! Yeah that's a good idea. Do you think that the black with plastic grids would look stupid?!

OH says you can cut it with a Stanley knife. (Now this is the point I would take my finger off)
How deep & wide would you want the perplex, need to know this regarding, how to tell you how to fix it. No cage on the top?

I would probably want it the same height as the cubes so 35cm high and the cage is 4 cubes along so 140cm ( but I would make 2 as I have 2 2x4 cages attached )

Please make sure that any grids don't have too big gaps between the wiring.
Which C&c Grids Are Piggy Safe?

Places you can get C&C cages from in Canada: Cubes and Coroplast for C&C Cages for Guinea Pigs

I guess not, treat both cages separately cut the Perspex in half then just put a window frame in & slot the Perspex in, another alternative is buy the plastic that already has a slot. If you want it all worked hubby will do that for you he says he'll work it out for you tomorrow.

Hi, I am from Canada and would not recommend the Wal-mart grids as the holes are two big, I think Home Depot and Canadian Tire as well as Bed, Bath and Beyond have good options, I order mine off Amazon.ca, but I have been lucky to find them in a Value Village, which is a thrift store.

Don't some of the grids have bigger bar spacing than others on the black set ?

Yes, but I thought for the money, only having a few grids you can use for the sides(there are more large hole ones then small), it just didn't seem worth it to me, that's just my opinion though.

Yeah I suppose but the grids are so much cheaper over there
