T.T.

Hello, I'm a bit of a lurker, but I've got excellent ideas from this forum, so thought I'd ask this question before I go out and impulse buy!:))

My two guineas live in a hutch in my utility room. they have grown loads since we got them and I'm a bit worried that the hutch is too small, we have them out in a run most days now the weather has turned nice (albeit for a short time). But the problem is that it is a homemade open topped and we live in a lovely little village with lots of proper "outdoor" country cats :) so I'm only comfortable letting them out when I'm in the garden and this limits the time they can be out. They adore running around in it.

So I thought I might go and invest in an outside hutch with a covered run attached to it, so I could let them out in the morning and they could run around to their hearts content.

Any advice, tips recommendations?

Thanks guys.

EDIT Ooo, plus on my work days they don't get out at all. :(

first of all i wouldnt have them in an uncovered run unless you are physically sitting with them the whole time and they also need sun protection. What are the measurements of your hutch?and they should get out each day even 10mins before work is better than nothing. If you feel your hutch is to small then your probably right post some pics if you can.You are best off looking for a hutch thats not in a petshop they are usually to small and over priced

The OP said they dont leave the piggies out uncovered without their supervision hence why they would like to buy a better hutch/run - thats the impression I got from the post anyway....

Personally I keep mine indoors and am also on the look out for a couple of good runs for outside, so ill be interested to see what people suggest also :)
