going on hoilday

I am going on hoilday and the hoilday place are letting us have the guinea pigs there. I would just like to know want you all have done with the cage and stuff as am struggling getting the cage into the car (Fiat Grande Punto).

Rather than take a whole cage have you thought about transporting them in something like a cat carrier and then having them stay in a folding pet pen, they are like play pens that fold flat for transport
