Advice needed please :)

Sometime soon I'm going from one morning and won't be home until the following evening.
If I leave the piggies with plenty of hay, water and pellets will they be okay for this long? I feel awful they won't get their veggies in the evening and morning but I can't get anyone in to feed them!

It'll work out about 30 ish hours alone! I've never left them that long so wonder if they'll be alright.

I should add they're indoor piggies. Thanks :)

I'll be honest I don't know the answer so someone that comes along later will have to answer. I think the usual guidelines are not to leave piggies alone for longer than 24 hours, but don't hold me to that. If it is okay, would it be an option to do morning and evening veggies together on the first day/morning and then morning and evening veggies together on the second day/evening. Then back to normal once you're back

I think with plenty water and hay and some pellets your piggies will be ok for 30 hours- they'll be annoyed with you, but if they get veg just before you leave and as soon as you get back they should be ok! Any longer than about 36 hours away and I'd be looking at boarding if a neighbour couldnt feed them...

I got stuck in hospital (annoyingly) overnight a couple of years ago and mine were left about the same amount of time.
They got stacks of hay before I left and a few veggies, a few pellets and made sure they'd have enough water (mine are big drinkers) just in case.
Mr Ambulance Man had to wait five mins before took me away so I made sure they'd be ok! Wasn't sure if I'd be there a couple of hrs or overnight so made sure cage was stuffed with tasty stuff!
Thankfully they were still my friends when I returned! Or may have just wanted their veg :)
