Specialist Glucosamine Dosage

Betty is on half a capsule of cystophan a day for cystitis. Its working really well but l would like to switch her onto a vegetarian glucosamine. The capsules l have bought contain 1.2mg glucosamine and l have been trying to find out the strength of cystophan but no luck! Does anyone know the equivalent dosage? Thankyou!

Cystophan details:

Each Capsule Contains:
N-acetyl D-glucosamine (125mg)
L-tryptophan (37.5mg)
Hyaluronic acid (10mg)

Additives:
Amino Acids: L-tryptophan

The glucoasmine you have recently sourced sounds a bit low in terms of 1.2mg per capsule? Please re-check the label (are you sure it isn't 1.2g?)

Thankyou very much @Pebble. Yes you are right it was 1.2g, l can't read my own handwriting! So a 10th of my capsule equals 1 cystophan capsule. I am not sure how important the other ingredients are or whether its just the glucosamine that's active? Thankyou for your help!

I remember doing some research into the question of the other ingredients when the Cystease formulation was changed from just glucosamine to one with tryptophan and hyaluronic acid etc....the tryptophan is added so it can be converted to serotonin (the happy hormone) so is more about mood than anything else. However the hyaluronic acid, as well as the glucosamine, are both building blocks for the protective GAG lining of the bladder which is the purpose of giving the med in the first place - so by swtiching you are losing one of the main ingredients.
