I have a 5/7month old boy everything I put in with him, he chases them all the time. He's neutered so I've put young or older guineas females or the same with males. I've tried to get him dated but the list is ridiculously long. I've even tried rescues way out of the area.
Would it be better to leave him on his own or rehome?

Chasing isn't necessarily aggression, have you got any videos of his behaviour?

I presume you're doing neutral ground type introductions with plenty of space etc? Maybe he just needs more time :)

Yes I'm putting them on neutral ground & his C&C cage is 7ft by 2ft. He just will not give up on the chasing, it's just constant.

Has any blood be drawn? I would be patient with him, it took about 2 weeks for my herd to calm down with the chasing, rumbling and small daily heart attacks on my end lol.

Do you separate straight away?

Chasing is pretty normal behaviour for boars, especially hormonal teenagers like him. He is currently at the highest testosterone output he will ever be in his life. At that age, it can take a day or two until a boar is finding the on-switch for his brain again once the gonads take over.

Just persist at home on neutral ground without any hideys and plenty of hay and grass.

So is the same with a boar/sowbonding Wiebke

Yes, it is the same whatever the gender of his new companion(s). I've had plenty of them; the last one was Pioden - thankfully, with four sows to chase after he ran out of gas before them!

Put a separator in to give your sow time to sleep and continue on the next day if necessary. At some point, your boy is going to run out of steam.

My Llewelyn drove Dizzy to the equivalent of tears, and yet she was totally in love with him and refused to share him with me; he was HER teenage toy boy! Llewelyn totally adored her... :D

:lol!: I will try again. Not really in the mood today I had to have a 3 month & a 6 week hamster PTS today they had Pyometra, a lot of it is due to over breeding. Do you every get to the stage where you think I can't do this anymore! You more than others as you had 4 go in weeks

Actually, I am up to five losses this year already, but I know what you mean! I am so sorry about your hamsters. :(

If possible, keep your boy so he can interact through the bars with a divider; that can help to calm down things when they meet again. It will hopefully not be as bad as the first time round.

HUGS!
