Abby'sMom

Well, it looks as if my girls are going thru their first heat.....pow-pow8...
Molly is 'rumbling' all the time....it seems so constant...she has even tried humping poor Abby. There isnt any fighting, but i've noticed Abby putting her bum up a bit in the air today too... uuuugghhhh

They are constantly chasing each other around. And I've noticed Abby sniffing under Molly's chin when Molly is making her rumbly sound. How long does this normally last? And are they like female humans that after living toghether a while get their 'time' about the same time together? Just wondering if one is going to be in heat...then done and the other goes into it.
I've had them 6 weeks and this is the first i've ever seen this...they are about 3 1/2 monthsAbby....4 1/2months.

I can't help.......but i've noticed same behavious with Velvet and Onyx. This morning Onyx was doing the butt waggle thing and rumbling as well.........:{
i can't wait to hear some answers, thanks for putting this post up :)

we need to send our girls to a 'finishing' school to improve their behaviour rolleyes:(|):(|)

Yeah mine do this a few times a month, pretty sure they're in season. They take turns instead of doing it at the same time. It will pass. :)

As I was cleaning their cage tonight...I locked them both up in the second floor...as i worked on the bottom fleecey part....Molly finally calmed down and practically put herself in a corner!

But she's back at the chasing and rumbling now! :{

Hi, Thanks for posting this thread.

Can anyone tell me a little more about piggies being on heat and signs to look out for / how often it happens etc please

Many Thanks
