Just out of curiosity really my piggie tony is roughly 14 weeks old and everytime i bring him out to cuddle him he always pee's on my lap. he did loose his companion gary about 2 weeks ago (we bought them together) but this was happening a now and again before gary died. he now has a new companion who he seems to be living happily with, and is enjoying cuddles etc as much as he used to before.

like i said it's just out of curiosity( as ive owned piggies before) if there is a way to stop it/a reason why they do this. i have really just accepted that its something they do. possibly to mark territory?

How long do you have him out? Especially young piggies do need to pee after a time; usually they give you signs like squirming, rumbling, nibbling/biting etc. so you can put them back in time.

My two used to pee on me all the time when they were little but they grew out of it and became very good at letting me know when they need to go.
Spike always tugs on my clothes to let me know and Stripes starts squeaking and usually nuzzles my chin.

I can always tell when my two need a wee now - they start wriggling around (imagine the thing you used to do when you were little where you'd cross your legs and jump around a bit if you needed a wee!) and making disgruntled squeaky sounds. Poppy was doing it the other day and I wasn't paying attention to her, she must have been trying so hard to say 'HEY, I need a wee!' so she literally let out like the tiniest drop on my arm - at which point I swiflty plonked her back into the cage, literally half a second later she was in the corner having a wee! Bless her!
However when they were younger they just used to let it all out! Gross!
I sometimes have mine on my knee for an hour plus now without them needing to go but this will obviously vary. I usually get them out before they have their veg on the evening as I find they always need a wee after!

It might just be down to bad timing! You might be taking him out when he's almost ready to go because he's not been for ages! I would recommend getting something like this [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Washable-Absorbent-Chair-Pad-40cms/dp/B001LEEQZE/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1279969822&sr=8-5"]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Washable-Absorbent-Chair-Pad-40cms/dp/B001LEEQZE/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1279969822&sr=8-5[/ame] It's used as a chair pad for people with continence problems. Pop your piggy on the pad, on your lap, and when they wee, it doesn't matter! It will just soak into the pad and you can wash them in the washing machine at really high temperatures to kill all the bacteria.

My two baby pigs used to do that always too! Especially if I fed them treats when they were on my lap (they'd also poo lots!). They grew out of it though after a few months. I think when they're young they just can't control it very well and only have small bladders so need to wee a lot. I'd suggest just putting a towel on your lap.

Mine always used to pee on me too, Lexi still does! The cheeky pig snuggles up to me so I think she's giving me a cuddle, but no...shouldn't trust a pig :))

My piggies always scoot backwards in to me and then the sudden face of satisfaction followed by my legs getting very warm is when mine do it, but when they scoot i try and wip them up fast and catch it :)p if only we could train them! rolleyes
x

My pig George use to pull my top to say time to put me back in my cage, my two new baby pigs I have just worked out Charlie starts to wriggle and I know to put him back and Freddie he just doesn't care and pees on me so I make sure I use a towel when I have them both on my knee just to be on the safe side..:)

Our girls are normally pretty good. They grumble and squeak to let us know they need to go. Unless they're mad at us. We were doing Darwins nails over the weekend, which she's never a fan of. I had her laid backwards against me, with her legs sticking in the air. So there she is, getting a manicure, rotating a big hunk of cucumber in her mouth and she just lets fly. Right up in the air, all over me.

She didn't even miss a beat with the cucumber just kept chewing and spraying like a little hairy fountain. She was very pleased with herself.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh reminds me of when the kids were little rolleyes:x (now 24, 23 and 19)
well done Darwin.........you do NOT miss a beat when eating your cucumber ! drool

From experience, our piggies always try to tell us when they need to "go". Sometimes we don't pick it up (usually my wife) and then it's an "I told you I needed to go" moment :)

I think you have to look out for the piggy's hints that he/she needs the loo!
