Hello everyone,
I have three indoor guinea pigs, a neutered, semi-longhaired, tri-coloured boar named Hurley, and two tri-colour rex females called Rikku (pronounced "Ree-koo") and Ifalna (pronounced "If-ORL-na"). They are all rescues and although they are confident pigs, they are still very nervous of sudden movement from us or being touched/picked up.
I have started to sit in their run with tiny cubes of carrot, trying to get them to eat them from my hand. Hurley and Rikku seem to be getting the idea (in fact today Hurley climbed on me!) but Ifalna is still very cautious and will only come within a couple of feet of me. Furthermore, Hurley and Rikku still hate being touched.
Does anyone have any tips to get them more used to me? Any advice would be much appreciated!
