My guinea pig (Virginia Woolf, lol) is almost a year old and she has never been with another piggy (expect for three weeks with her mom) I'm SO SCARED that if I get a new pig as a friend she might actually hate her, and it's not like I could just let the other pig leave, I just can't and I will end up having TWO lonely pigs. Ugh!

Also I don't have the option of dating (lol) I'd be lucky if I somehow manage to find a baby pig or just ANY female guinea pig (there are no rescues where I live and the petshops only SELL guinea pigs ugh)

Assuming that I manage to find a poor abandoned baby somewhere
Is there a fool-proof way of introducing two guinea pigs?
I have all time in the world to spend for my princess so it doesnt matter how long it takes, I just want it to work and I want her to be happy ;)

Unless I am mistaken female guinea pigs actually get on quite well and even if it did go wrong I'm sure you could find them a new home or something? I don't think it's very good to keep a pig on their own,

Hi,
A very easy way to bond them is:
Give them separate living environments for a week or so, then introduce them in an unfamiliar place for both of them (such as the bath, kitchen sink, etc).do this frequently and for short amount of time. Give them palace to hide and sum veggies, they may not touch the veggies at first.

Not all female pigs get on well, often there are territorial issues, and they need to have grown up with each other.

If not I dunno what to suggest
Xx
