Hi does anyone have some good money saving tips I have a couple,we try to grt new ones every week or month.

Buy freeserve instead of sky [ IT'S ON MY XMAS LIST] will miss sky one though LOST

Buy xtra blankets and throws instead of using heating, not always practical with kids though

obviously turn of all electric from socket if not using it

If using elec hobs turn of just b4 finishing every little helps

try paying on internet for things like gas as some companies give discounts some give discounts for direct debits as well

if doing a wash which isn't really dirty just use half the amount of powder [some may think this is a little minging]

always take a list shopping and go alone on a full stomach,I spend less if I pay with cash as well

I always buy shop brands as they are usually just as good as big makes

I know I am stingy any other ways I can save a penny

The Motley Fool: www.fool.co.uk has a 'Living Below Your Means' discussion board which you may find interesting - the discussions on it vary widely from extremely useful to 'interesting only if you were wanting to buy the product concerned' to very controversial but more abstract!

They also have a discussion board entitled 'Dealing With Debt' - which has a lot of really good advice on how to cut back on unnecessary expenditure, and can be very useful even if you have no debts whatsoever! Recommended.
